Today in North America, we celebrate the Pi day of the century!  Nerds across the continent waited patiently for that time in the morning when the date was exactly 03/14/15 9:26:53, coinciding with the first ten digits of Pi.

This won’t happen again until March 14, 2115.  In most other parts of the world, the date is written with the day first, so for them, today is 14/03/15.  Not as exciting – especially since today was an excuse for me to celebrate with a delicious slice of pie made by my boyfriend’s mom, and another piece in the Science Student Lounge with my classmates!

My boyfriend and I also happened to have dinner plans at my grandma’s house – and she was celebrating our holiday too!
