Science Rendezvous is a national effort that began in 2008 to bring science out of the lab to engage with the general public. It is a free all-ages event that happens across Canada every May!
As a member of the Physics Club at the University of Windsor, and also as a Let’s Talk Science Outreach volunteer, I have excitedly been volunteering at Science Rendezvous for 6 years.
Every year from 2012-2017 I staffed a booth in the main auditorium at the University of Windsor with my fellow Physics Club members. We brought tons of hands on demos that teach every day science concepts, and some that demonstrate physics that you don’t get to experience every day!
